FAQ
Q. We wish to decorate the hall. Are we
permitted to stick pictures and decorations on the walls?
A. Yes but please use Blu-Tack. Do not use Sellotape, pins or
anything else that may damage the paintwork.
Q. Does the cost of hiring the hall
include the hire of tables and chairs?
A. Yes but please return the tables and chairs to the storage
cupboard after use.
Q. What equipment is provided with the
hire of the kitchen?
A. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker (hob, grill
and oven), kettle, microwave oven, fridge, cutlery, crockery etc. The cutlery is
kept locked away so please make it known at the time of booking if cutlery is
required. A hostess trolley is also available on request.
Q. Is it possible to hire the hall
after midnight?
A. Under no circumstances. Out of respect for our neighbours
we ask that everyone has vacated the premises before midnight.
Q. Can we bring our own alcohol instead
of using the bar facilities provided?
A. No, all alcohol must be purchased from the main hall bar
facilities provided by Yateley Social Club. The only exception is sparkling
wine/champagne used solely for toasting.
Q. Can you give me more information on
the bar facilities?
A. The bar facilities are now provided free of charge by
Yateley Social Club. The bar is comprehensively stocked with a wide range of
Lagers, Bitters, Real Ales, Ciders, Spirits, Wines etc., all at competitively
low prices. An example of regular beers stocked are: Fosters, Kronenbourg,
Carlsberg, John Smiths, Guinness, Hogs Back Tea and Fullers London Pride.
Q. When and how will my damage deposit
be returned to me?
A. Your damage deposit will be banked prior to your
event and a refund cheque will be written by our treasurer and posted back to
you within two weeks following the event.
Q. Where do I send payments?
A. Cheques should be made payable to 'Yateley Village Hall'
and sent to:-
Booking Clerk
Yateley Village Hall
Old School Lane
Yateley
Hants
GU46 6NG
Q. Do you allow 13 to 21 year old age
group parties?
A. Regretfully a decision was made on the 7th September 2010
to not allow the hall to be hired for parties in the age group 13 to 21
years of age. There will be no exceptions and furthermore a legitimate reason
for hire must be provided at the time of booking. For example, reason for hire:
'Family Party', will not suffice. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in
the immediate closure of the hall and the loss of your damage deposit.
Q. Answer to your question not here?
